Tony and Emily Collins founded Aftin in 2002 as a part-time business so that Emily could be at home with the first of their 3 children. In 2007, the couple moved into the business "full-time" and quickly established a market presence by being the first to offer homeowners a "Maintenance-Free-Living" program that afforded them all the amenities of a maintenance provided community, without having to leave their homes. In 2008, the program was extended to commercial customers who expressed a need for retaining reliable, affordable maintenance contractors for their buildings.

Aftin's current customer list represents a variety of commercial properties including office complexes, nursing homes, apartment buildings, restaurants and HOA's. In addition, Aftin has over 30 homes on  maintenance-free-living packages and many others who contract specific services.
